　　At present, propionitrile is mainly used to synthesize epoxy resin curing agent, 2-ethyl-4-methylimidazole (Japanese brand: emi-24, 2e4mi). It is mainly used in aerospace industry and electronics industry because of its excellent performance and high price.

　　2. The pharmaceutical industry is the raw material for the synthesis of antispasmodic drugs 2.4.6 trihydroxyethyl phenylacetone and sulfonamide drugs sulfaisoxazole.
